Hingvastak, half pound

Hing is the Sanskrit name of a dreadful smelling resinous exudate from the root of a plant we call asafoetida (fetid.) Hingvastak powder is a mixture of asafoetide with aromatic and carminative herbs and spices that aid digestion. It is especially helpful for vata types who have sudden cravings followed by a precipitous drop in appetite that results in abdominal rumblings and intestinal gas. Prana Vata Nasya Oil

Nasya treatment is a traditional Ayurvedic therapy in which medicated oils are placed into the nostrils. These affect the entire head. The treatment is considered to be beneficial for memory and concentration. It is also used to treat all 'diseases above the neck' thus eye, ear, nasal, oral, brain and other related disorders can all be treated with Nasya.
